Erick Jiménez

Expert in Waste Management

Mexican engineer with experience in the circular management of environmental projects (design, development, coordination, implementation and monitoring), both for the federal public sector and for international cooperation agencies.

He has collaborated in the implementation of the Agenda2030, compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals, sustainable management at the national and subnational level, in the promotion and implementation of the circular economy regulations, in the implementation of best environmental practices in the management of pollutants and chemical substances, as well as capacity building and strengthening.

He has worked with the government sector and with international cooperation agencies, both regional and global. The relevant projects in which it has participated are: the coordination of the national vision document towards a sustainable zero waste management; management of the project environmentally sound management of wastes containing persistent organic pollutants; execution of the national program for environmental monitoring and evaluation; supervision of the national air quality information system; establishment of an urban system for measuring and monitoring carbon fluxes; design and development of the information and monitoring system for ozone-depleting substances; among others.

He studied Industrial Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the UNAM; Master of Science in Environmental Sustainability, at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland; and Master in Business Administration at the Universidad Anáhuac.
