
Kristy Peña
Expert in Water Management and Treatment
She is an environmental engineer who actively promotes environmental projects with a multicultural and interdisciplinary touch. She has worked for Mexican, German and Norwegian companies as Environmental Engineer (design and operation of PTARS / EDARS), DAIMLER (Environmental Management and Occupational Health) and CAMBI (Process Engineer in anaerobic digestion and thermal pretreatment of sewage sludge and solid waste to generate biogas. In 2018, Kristy served as director of two master’s degrees in Environmental and Process Engineering at the University of Stuttgart (WASTE and Energietechnik). She is currently technical implementation manager for the EMEA region for integrated organic waste management projects and biogas production in the Finnish company Ductor AG She is also president-co-founder of the Hessen Chapter of the Red Global Mx (RGMX), a Mexican entity that contributes to the insertion of Mexico in the global knowledge economy.
Kristy collaborates with the RGMX as an environmental consultant on sustainable education, circular economy, renewable energy production (biogas through organic waste and biosolids) and water treatment (purification and depuration) related to the development of SMART CITY projects. She is a promoter of women’s empowerment programs within the RGMX and southern Germany. She collaborates with SustainLuum as an expert associate consultant in Waste and Water Management.
